The implimentation of HAVA in Iowa continues. Based on a report I'm
reading, "eighteen counties have ordered DRE machines".

DRE machines are Direct Recording Electronic, that is, a touch screen like a bank ATM or something similar; no paper. "None of these counties ordered DREs with a verified voter paper audit trail (VVPAT)"

...they were allowed to purchase voting machines that can't be audited??? Have we learned nothing? Thank goodness Scott county isn't one of the 18.
