DrewMiller.net: House Analysis Part II
Excerpted from this post at DrewMiller.net
These are the races where there might have been competitive races but for one party or the other's failure to field a candidate. I could be wrong in some of these, where an incumbent managed to hang on for a year in a new, unfriendly district, but then got bumped off.
-- District 06 - Mike May (R) won by 6.4% last time around against Greg Stevens (D), who managed to barely hold on in 2002 in a less than hospitable post-redistricting home base.
-- District 31 - Ray Zirkelbach (D) also beat the wounded incumbent - by 8.4% in 2004 - and is now running unopposed. This one is probably not as competitive as it looks - the overall Democratic performance is a lot higher.
