Look....I'm not a big fan of high cable prices either, but making the cable companies do something like this is not going to solve the problem. In fact, I'd say it would make it worse. Can you imagine a small-town cable company trying to manage the subscription choices of just a few hundred users? Can you imagine the extra equipment, the extra technology, the extra people that would need to be bought or hired to run something like that? Imagine what that would be like in large cities like New York and Los Angeles. It'd be a bloody nightmare. And, of course, we the consumer would pay for that extra stuff. Whether we wanted to or not.
