Last week, Mike Blouin was the first gubernatorial candidate to go negative by attacking Chet Culver and accusing him of lobbying on behalf of IBP and a certain piece of legislation. Over this past weekend (yesterday, I believe) the Culver campaign released a new comparison ad comparing Chet Culver's stance on some issues with Mike Blouin's stances (or past stances).

Some have resorted to calling it negative, which, in the world of political media and ads it really isn't. There's a certain lingo like 'comparison' ad that gets around the term 'negative' because the ad is positive towards a certain candidate when comparing him against another. Call it what you will, it highlights a lot of the issue controversies surrounding Mike Blouin and his campaign.
