My thoughts on Chet Culver, the "proud progressive" Democrat:

Culver would support limited reinstitution of capital punishment. He supports failed sex offender legislation introduced by state Republicans and passed with the help of emotionally charged Democrats.

He supports Governor Vilsack's veto of eminent domain legislation that would protect private property owners, a bill that passed nearly unanimously in the state House and Senate.

Culver's opposed to civil unions and backed by Bill Knapp, whose shady land deal has perpetuated Ankeny's ridiculous urban sprawl problem.
