Today Jim Nussle and Mike Whalen will kick off their general election campaigns by rallying supporters in Waterloo, Dubuque and Davenport. While everyone here knows that I preferred a different candidate in the 1st CD, I have to admit that the Nussle/Whalen combo is the best for the Nussle campaign in the general election. Tuesday's election was all about Scott County, they turned out big time. In fact over 37 percent of the total votes cast in the 1st CD came from Scott County.
