A few months ago, I posted on the human trafficking legislation making its way through the Iowa Senate. A quick recap: human trafficking is modern day slavery, most often associated with foreigners smuggled into the US for purposes of sexual and physical exploitation. At that time, it looked like Senator Gronstal & Company might kill the human trafficking bill with a couple lousy amendments.
