LISTEN: Dodd says feds need to help avert foreclosure crisis
Sen. Chris Dodd told a crowd of 60 people Saturday that 2 to 2.5 million people could face foreclosure before the subprime home lending dilemma is addressed by Washington. He stressed the need for federal regulations on subprime lenders to help ensure the American dream of homeownership.
"That is devastating to them," said Dodd, D-Conn. "Statistics don't begin to describe what it means to have this dream shattered, and what it does to a family, what it does to a neighborhood and what it does to a community."
