Hundreds of people listened to five GOP presidential candidate address health care at a forum sponsored by Divided We Fail, a non-partisan organization in an operation in Iowa. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, California Congressman Duncan Hunter, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson and Illinois businessman John Cox each spoke for 20 minutes on health care and financial security issues, a couple areas that have been virtually non-existent in the national debates.
The two presidential debates in May only had 4 percent of the questions posed to the candidates deal with health care and financial security, said Pete Jeffries with Divided We Fail. That number jumped to 9 percent of the questions in the June debate. And, last Sunday's GOP debate in Des Moines had nine minutes of the 90-minute forum deal with health care and financial security.
